ABOUT HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL
Holy Rosary School has a rich tradition of excellence in Catholic education that began in 1891 with the opening of Holy Rosary Church by Father William Eversmann, O.S.B. who was committed to providing a Catholic education to his families in south and east Tacoma.
Our location in downtown Tacoma provides a unique opportunity for parents working downtown to be just five minutes away from their children during the school day.
Our Vision Statement, “Our children, created in the image of God and entrusted to our care, under our guidance and God’s grace will grow in response to God's plan for their lives. “ encapsulates what we are all about.
We offer a complete Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade Academic and elective programs and a before and after school Extended Care and Hot Lunch programs to support working parents. Holy Rosary School and Parish are rich with family tradition, cultural diversity, and faith in God. The signature program that emulates the Vision of Holy Rosary School is our Music and Liturgical program.
OurAdmissions program works to find a way to make this quality Catholic education available to all families who desire it. We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our Room Parent Program provides opportunities for parents to get involved in the school life of their children and provides important and vital support for their education.
Our long history of excellence has fostered a wonderful following of dedicated donors committed in joining us to provide a Catholic education for our school families. Our Development Program includes a Holy Rosary Endowment, an Annual Fund Drive, SHARE Auction, Planned Giving and Golf Tournament.
In 2008, Pierce Deanery Catholic schools have recommitted themselves to ensuring that a Catholic Education is available to low income families in south and east Tacoma. A new funding program has begun expressly for this purpose to provide tuition assistance for these families.
We hope you will join us in providing a Catholic education for families in Tacoma.
