Please mark your calendars to attend the Holy Rosary Parent Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 18 @6:30pm at the HR auditorium.  Below is lengthy but important message in regards to the Guardian Angel Resurrection.

Parent Guardian Angel Resurrection

In an effort to develop a stronger Holy Rosary community, the school commission is requiring that the Parent Guardian Angel Program get resurrected.  The intent is to match up ‘veteran’ Holy Rosary families with the new families that are adjusting to the environment.  The Guardian Angel family is to keep in touch with their respective ‘rookie’ family/families throughout the entire school year and beyond.  The intent is to keep the relationship alive and positive (please don’t encourage unnecessary gossip). It also possible that the new families will have the opportunities of having more than one guardian family.

It is the commission’s request that at a minimum, a family with two years of ‘experience’ become a guardian family and attends the MANDATORY Parent Club meeting on November 18 @ 6:30pm in the school library.  The expectation of the guardian family is as follows:

(1)   Share your enthusiasm of why you send your children to Holy Rosary.

(2)   Answer any questions or concerns the new families may have.  If you don’t have the answer on hand help them find that answer.

(3)   Make new friends

(4)   Exchange contact information

(5)   Explain the Christmas Bazaar and share how both families can assist Parent Club’s main fundraiser and how Scrip works.

The Waldron’s will always be thankful to Judy & Tim Smith for welcoming us 9 long years ago.  We have watched each of our children grow up and now are apart of the same neighborhood Safe Streets program.

Call to Arms

This is a very important year for the school commission, athletic director, and Parent’s Club board.  Quite a few of us will have our last child graduate from Holy Rosary or have other commitments and now will be the time for the future parent leaders to shadow or go over very important positions.  Rob Mathis is our athletic director/basketball coach [rcmathis64@yahoo.com], Christina Pantoja is our Parent Club stronghold [dctoja1@msn.com], and Jerry Waldron is the e-mail moderator/volleyball coach [jerry_waldron1@yahoo.com].  We would all to share our experiences and pass the torch to energetic individuals like yourself.
